Tom Holland Shares Sweet Tribute to Zendaya During The Odyssey Press Tour

Tom Holland delighted fans with a heartfelt and humorous comment about his wife, Zendaya, while promoting The Odyssey alongside co-stars Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, and Anne Hathaway.

During a recent interview with Wired, the cast answered fan-submitted questions about the upcoming film, inspired by Homer's legendary epic. One question asked whether Athena—portrayed by Zendaya—had romantic feelings for Odysseus.

Without missing a beat, Holland smiled and replied, "No, because she's married to me."

The playful remark immediately drew laughs from the group, with Matt Damon jokingly responding, "Yep, good answer."

The lighthearted exchange continued later in the interview when Robert Pattinson asked, "What does Athena teach Telemachus?" Holland quickly answered, "True love," prompting more laughter from the cast.

Tom Holland Opens Up About His Marriage

Although Holland and Zendaya have long kept their relationship out of the spotlight, the actor has become slightly more open about their marriage in recent weeks.

In an interview with Esquire, Holland appeared to confirm the couple's wedding while discussing AI-generated images that falsely showed them getting married on Italy's Lake Como.

He recalled that his grandmother called after seeing the viral images, believing she had somehow missed the ceremony.

When asked whether other relatives had also been fooled, Holland replied with a smile, "No, because they were all there."

Pressed for more details about the private ceremony, the actor politely ended the discussion by saying, "That's all you'll get on that."

Wedding Rumors Continue

Speculation about the couple's marriage first intensified after Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, suggested earlier this year that the wedding had already taken place.

Speaking to Access Hollywood during the 2026 Actor Awards in March, Roach teased, "The wedding has already happened. You missed it." However, he later declined to clarify whether he had been speaking literally or joking.

Zendaya has also addressed the ongoing curiosity surrounding her personal life.

During an appearance on The New York Times podcast Modern Love, the actress explained why she and Holland intentionally keep much of their relationship private.

"I try my best to have things that belong just to me—and to him as well," she said. "We don't try to hide from the world, but we do want to preserve certain moments for ourselves, our loved ones, and our family so we can continue enjoying them away from the public eye."

Despite their growing openness, Holland and Zendaya continue to maintain a careful balance between sharing special moments with fans and protecting the privacy of their life together.
