“‘Thursday Night Football’ Betting: Buccaneers Ready to Bounce Back, and Bijan Emerges as a Popular DFS Pick”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7–6) take the field in a virtual must-win situation against the Atlanta Falcons (4–9). Technically, Tampa Bay could still lose and win the division, but the margin for error would be almost nonexistent.

Baker Mayfield hasn’t thrown for more than 200 passing yards since Week 10. Twice during that stretch he has completed fewer than 40% of his passes, and he has thrown four interceptions over the last four games. It’s been a rough stretch. However, things could improve tonight with Mike Evans returning and Jalen McMillan making his season debut.

In Atlanta, Raheem Morris seems to be a dead man walking. The Falcons are simply playing out the schedule with him and Kirk Cousins. The team will once again be without Drake London, and many might assume they’ll show the same lack of energy they displayed in the second half against Seattle last week.

But that’s not how the NFL works. Teams with nothing to lose are often the most dangerous this time of year. Add to that the fact that it’s a primetime game and a divisional matchup, and the Bucs should expect the best version of the Falcons. The game is likely to be ugly, tight, and low-scoring, possibly decided by a field goal.
