The Supreme Court is issuing a series of landmark decisions this week as justices wrap up pending cases before their summer recess.
On Thursday, the Court ruled that states can block Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid funding for all services it provides.
This decision comes one week after the Court issued a ruling in one of the most highly anticipated cases, dealing a blow to transgender rights. In a 6-3 vote, the justices upheld a Tennessee law restricting gender-affirming care for minors.
The Supreme Court has also ruled on other high-profile cases this term:
Upheld a Biden administration rule regulating ghost guns (firearms without serial numbers);
Blocked a contract for the nation's first religious charter school in Oklahoma;
Allowed a lawsuit to proceed from an Ohio woman who claims she was discriminated against for being heterosexual;
Blocked Mexico's multibillion-dollar lawsuit against U.S. gun manufacturers from moving forward.
The Court is expected to conclude its term on Friday by announcing rulings on all remaining cases, including contentious issues such as:
The end of birthright citizenship enacted by former President Trump;
Transgender rights;
LGBTQ books in public schools;
Age verification for pornographic websites.
Below are the major cases on the SCOTUS docket. Yahoo News will update the list as rulings are released—stay tuned for updates.
