Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to remain the No. 1 movie at the domestic box office for a sixth consecutive weekend, continuing its remarkable run as theaters head into the Labor Day holiday.

Industry forecasts project the Sony and Marvel Studios blockbuster will earn between $13 million and $18 million over the Sept. 4–6 weekend. The film has already surpassed $900 million in domestic ticket sales, making it the second highest-grossing movie in U.S. box office history. It is now closing in on the record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which earned $936.7 million domestically.

If projections hold, Brand New Day will become the first film since Avatar: The Way of Water in 2022 to remain atop the box office for six straight weekends. However, analysts expect its streak to face a serious challenge next weekend with the arrival of Practical Magic 2.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is forecast to hold the No. 2 spot, with estimated weekend earnings between $7 million and $10 million. The epic adventure has demonstrated exceptional staying power, posting modest week-to-week declines while continuing to attract audiences. Internationally, the film is expected to surpass $1 billion in ticket sales, while its domestic total is approaching $570 million, placing it among the highest-grossing releases in North American box office history.

Although fewer theaters are dedicating screens to The Odyssey, strong audience demand could help the film maintain its position in the top three.

Meanwhile, Coyote vs. Acme is projected to finish the weekend in third place with $6 million to $9 million in its second weekend of release. The family comedy exceeded expectations during its debut and has benefited from positive reviews and strong audience reactions, including an "A" CinemaScore.

Despite a modest marketing campaign, the film is expected to continue drawing families thanks to favorable word-of-mouth, although competition from new releases, including Mark Wahlberg's By Any Means, could limit its second-weekend performance.

With few major openings scheduled, the holiday weekend is expected to be driven largely by holdover titles, allowing established hits to continue dominating the North American box office.
