Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls – New Closed Beta Begins December 5

Announced earlier this year in June, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is an all-new fighting game co-developed by PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works (Arc), and Marvel Games. The title brings together Marvel’s most iconic heroes and villains in intense, fast-paced battles full of style and power.

Following its successful showings at Evo Las Vegas and Nice, the Tokyo Game Show, and the first Closed Beta, players will soon have another opportunity to experience the game on PlayStation 5, starting at midnight (PT) on December 5, 2025.

What’s New in Closed Beta 2

This new beta introduces Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, expanding the roster to eight playable characters. Players will be able to create custom four-fighter teams, freely combining heroes and villains to form their ultimate squad.

Two new stages are also being added — Savage Land and X-Mansion — each featuring unique interactive elementsthat add new layers of excitement to every match.

Based on community feedback from the previous beta, the team has implemented numerous improvements, including balance adjustments, performance optimizations, visual refinements, and user interface upgrades. Additional details will be revealed as we approach the beta launch.

When & How to Play

The Closed Beta will run from December 5 to December 7, ending at 11:59 PM PT on December 7 — a full 72 hours of continuous gameplay.

• December 5–6: CPU battles and online matches will be available.

• December 7: only online matches will be accessible.

Players who participated in the first beta will be automatically registered and will receive a confirmation email from PlayStation in the coming weeks.
