A professional wrestler was hospitalized after being allegedly attacked by Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, during a live-streamed wrestling event in Los Angeles last Saturday (23rd).

The incident occurred during the "Knox Experience" show, promoted by the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy. Footage from the broadcast shows Raja Jackson invading the ring, picking up wrestler Stuart Smith (known as Syko Stu), slamming him to the mat, and then landing a series of punches.

KnokX Pro Wrestling issued a statement calling the act "selfish, irresponsible, and reprehensible," stating that the action "never should have occurred," as it was supposed to be a pre-arranged intervention.

According to wrestler Douglas Malo, who helped restrain the attack, Smith suffered broken bones in his face and lost several teeth. He was conscious and talking the following day and was expected to be released from the hospital on Sunday (24th). "He was choking on his own blood and teeth," Malo reported.

The sequence of events leading to the attack:

The live stream showed that before the event, Smith, still in character, approached Raja Jackson backstage and hit him with a beer can (a common prop in wrestling storylines). He was immediately informed that Jackson was not a professional wrestler ("a worker") and was not part of the cast.

After a tense moment, Smith apologized. An agreement was made for Jackson to participate in a match later, with the two shaking hands. However, backstage, another wrestler, identified as Andre Joel Hudson, was heard instructing Jackson to give a "receipt" (wrestling jargon for retaliating against a staged aggression).

Jackson, who was watching the show from the front row while interacting with the live stream, appeared to become progressively agitated by the broadcast's comments. Just before entering the ring, he was heard saying, "I'm gonna hit him as many times as I can."

The attack happened during a match. After Smith executed a move on his opponent, Jackson invaded the ring, grabbed the unsuspecting wrestler, and violently slammed him to the mat, landing multiple punches. Several wrestlers and security guards were needed to restrain him and remove him from the venue.

After being escorted out of the building, Jackson received a phone call (apparently from Hudson) mistakenly informing him that Smith was "flatline" (showing no vital signs). "My bad," Jackson replied.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether an investigation has been opened.
