Lottery fever is back! Can a $2 ticket make you a billionaire?
As they say in the lottery world: “it could happen to you.” And sure enough, a Florida bettor – for the second drawing in a row – didn’t win the $1 billion prize, but still took home $1 million!
Since no one matched all five numbers plus the Powerball in the Labor Day drawing (September 1), the jackpot grew even more: it jumped from $1.10 billion to $1.40 billion for the Wednesday, September 3 drawing.
The lump-sum cash value also increased significantly: from $498.4 million to $634.3 million.
The prize now ranks among the Top 10 largest Powerball jackpots in history and is also one of the biggest lottery prizes in U.S. history.

Despite the rollover, there was some good news:
