Power Stick Deodorant Recall Due to Manufacturing Defect

More than 67,000 units of a popular deodorant brand sold nationwide have been recalled due to an undisclosed manufacturing defect.

Pennsylvania-based manufacturer A.P. Deauville initiated the recall last week, according to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The recall affects three variations of Power Stick roll-on deodorant, sold at major retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, and Dollar Tree.

The FDA report does not specify the exact reason for the recall but cites "deviations" from Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)—regulations that apply to pharmaceutical production.
