Live from Las Vegas, Pete Davidson is turning heads with a dramatically transformed look.

The former Saturday Night Live star made a striking appearance at CinemaCon 2026 on April 15, where he revealed the impressive progress of his yearslong tattoo removal journey. Known for once having his body covered in ink, Davidson surprised fans by showing off arms that now appear almost completely bare.

For the event, the 32-year-old opted for a relaxed and casual outfit, wearing a red T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and white Crocs. He completed the laid-back look with a chain necklace, sunglasses, and a baseball cap. However, it wasn’t his outfit that caught the most attention—it was what was missing. His arms, previously filled with tattoos, now show only faint traces and faded outlines of the designs he has been removing.

Over the years, Davidson had accumulated roughly 200 tattoos, many of which he has since chosen to erase through a long, painful laser removal process that began in 2020. Despite removing the majority, he has kept a few deeply personal pieces. Among them is a tattoo dedicated to his mother, Amy Waters Davidson, which humorously reads “MOMTATTOO.”

In a previous interview, Davidson explained the story behind it, saying his mother once asked why he had never gotten a tattoo for her—prompting him to create one that he now considers untouchable.

The comedian has also chosen to keep several other meaningful tattoos, including ones inspired by The Sopranos and a tribute to his late father, Scott Davidson, a firefighter who tragically died during the September 11 attacks. One of the tattoos he retained includes his father’s badge number, which he considers one of the most important on his body.

Now a father himself—having recently welcomed a daughter, Scottie, with his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt—Davidson appears to be embracing a new chapter in life, reflected not only in his personal life but also in his appearance.

He has been open about the difficult reality of tattoo removal, often describing the process as extremely painful. In fact, he has documented parts of the experience to show younger family members what’s involved in undoing impulsive decisions.

“It’s awful,” Davidson admitted in a past interview. “But I’m making changes, and that part excites me—even if the process itself is tough.”

His transformation has sparked widespread attention, marking a clear shift from the heavily tattooed image that once defined his look. Now, with a cleaner slate—both literally and figuratively—Pete Davidson is stepping into a new phase, one that reflects growth, change, and a more refined personal style.
