Patrick Clancy is set to give his first television interview since the trial of his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, ended in a mistrial. The father of the three children killed in the tragic 2023 case will appear on CBS' "60 Minutes" in an interview scheduled to air on September 20 at 7 p.m. ET.

The appearance comes just weeks after a Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial when jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict following seven days of deliberations.

During the interview, Patrick will speak publicly for the first time at length about the devastating loss of his children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan—who died in January 2023 at the family's home in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

In addition to sharing his grief, Patrick is expected to address the wave of conspiracy theories and misinformation that spread across social media throughout the trial. According to the program's description, he will sit down with correspondent Ross Douthat to discuss the memories of his children, the emotional toll of the tragedy, and the unfounded accusations that made him the target of online speculation.

Throughout the trial, prosecutors argued that Lindsay Clancy intentionally killed the couple's three children. Her defense team maintained that she should be found not criminally responsible, arguing she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings.

After weeks of testimony and extensive jury deliberations, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4after the jury failed to reach a unanimous decision, leaving the future of the case uncertain.

In recent months, Patrick has also become the target of widespread online misinformation. His attorney, Howard Cooper, said law enforcement has been notified about what he described as a coordinated defamation campaign involving false claims that Patrick played a role in his children's deaths.

Cooper stated that the allegations are entirely baseless and warned that those responsible could face legal consequences.

The upcoming "60 Minutes" interview is expected to be one of Patrick Clancy's most emotional public appearances, offering viewers a deeply personal account of his loss, his efforts to honor his children's memory, and the challenges he has endured since the case captured national attention.
