Week after week, the NFL delivers entertainment — and in Week 13, one result in particular brought an especially sharp troll.
The Carolina Panthers defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-28 at home, ending the Rams’ six-game winning streak. According to ESPN Research, it was the Panthers’ seventh upset victory of the season — the most by any team before December in the Super Bowl era.
Quarterback Bryce Young threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns. On the opposite side, Matthew Stafford recorded 243 yards, two TDs and two interceptions. Carolina’s ground game added 164 rushing yards between Chuba Hubbardand Rico Dowdle, with Young contributing another 23 on the ground.
The celebrations on social media came fast. First, the Panthers posted a photo of a ram with a “W” shaved into its wool and the caption: “Herd the Panthers won.” A play on “herd” — referring both to a group of rams and to Rams superfans. In another video, after the game-sealing strip-sack with 2:34 left, linebacker D.J. Wonnum was shown scooping up a “W” instead of the football.
Other top NFL trolls from Week 13:
Houston Texans 20, Indianapolis Colts 16
The Texans beat the division-rival Colts, securing their fourth straight win. Houston scored on rushing plays by Nick Chubb and Nico Collins, and delivered a strong defensive performance that held Indianapolis to just six first-half points.
Instead of trolling just one opponent, the Texans mocked all four opponents from their winning streak using a creative “Connect 4” theme.
Cincinnati Bengals 32, Baltimore Ravens 14
With only one opportunity for a Thanksgiving troll, the Bengals made it count. In Joe Burrow’s return from turf toe, he threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Lamar Jackson, meanwhile, had two fumbles and one interception — his first three-turnover game since 2021.
Cincinnati’s postgame graphic showed a bone and a Bengal tiger with the caption: “This bird was cooked perfectly.”
Dallas Cowboys 31, Kansas City Chiefs 28
The Cowboys held on against the Chiefs in a tight Thanksgiving matchup. The decisive score came when Dak Prescottconnected with Javonte Williams for a 3-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Although Kansas City answered, they never regained possession.
Dallas waited until the next morning to troll the Chiefs, posting an image of the KC Wolf mascot walking into a room in tears while a Cowboys player sat at a table eating a “W.”
