NFL Championship Sunday Fan Discussion: Broncos vs. Patriots, Seahawks vs. Rams

And then there were four.

By the end of today, NFL fans will know which two teams are headed to Super Bowl LX. For Bills Mafia, it’s a bittersweet Sunday. Buffalo’s latest heartbreaking playoff exit still stings, and many believe it should have been the Bills squaring off against the New England Patriots for a chance to head west in February. Instead, reality delivered a very different outcome.

The action begins with the AFC Championship, a matchup many Buffalo fans will watch reluctantly. Top-seeded Denver once again hosts an AFC East opponent, hoping lightning strikes twice as they look to send the second-seeded Patriots packing. That task won’t be easy, even with Denver boasting one of the league’s most dominant defenses. Adding to the challenge, quarterback Bo Nix suffered a broken ankle in the final seconds of Denver’s overtime win over Buffalo, ending his season. Now the pressure shifts to backup Jarrett Stidham, who must try to lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl. No small assignment.

Later tonight, the NFC Championship features a heated NFC West rivalry, as the No. 1 Seattle Seahawks host the No. 5 Los Angeles Rams. Earlier this season, the Rams looked nearly unbeatable, a team many thought would cruise to a title. But the division had other ideas, leaving Sam Darnold and Seattle with home-field advantage over Matthew Stafford’s Rams. Lumen Field is famously hostile, fueled by one of the loudest fan bases in football, but Stafford is no stranger to road environments and will have his team prepared.

So who advances?

Who are you pulling for — and which billionaire ownership group can you tolerate seeing in another Super Bowl? Can Stidham deliver a Hollywood-style ending and become the surprise hero of the season? Will the Patriots find a way to win again, even with MVP hopeful Drake Maye struggling to find consistency?

For Bills fans, beyond the obvious desire to see New England fall short, there’s at least one silver lining to root for: a Rams victory tonight. A Seahawks loss would open the door for Buffalo to interview Klint Kubiak for their vacant head coaching position — a development that could shape the franchise’s future.
