Nebius Unveils Asset-Light AI Cloud Expansion Model to Accelerate Global Infrastructure Growth
Amsterdam, July 15, 2026 — Nebius (Nasdaq: NBIS) has launched a new partnership model designed to rapidly expand its global AI cloud infrastructure by enabling third-party partners to deploy the company's full-stack AI cloud platform within their own data centers.
The initiative is intended to increase AI computing capacity for Nebius customers while creating new revenue opportunities for infrastructure investors, regional data center operators, developers and national AI initiatives at a time when global demand for AI computing resources continues to exceed available supply.
Under the new asset-light strategy, infrastructure partners will finance, own and operate AI data centers, while Nebius provides its proprietary systems architecture, software platform, hardware design and supply-chain expertise. The company will also oversee deployment, ongoing software maintenance and customer acquisition through its worldwide sales network.
This approach allows partners to transform traditional data center capacity into production-ready AI cloud infrastructure built to Nebius specifications. Because Nebius brings an established customer base, partners can begin generating revenue as soon as their facilities become operational.
For Nebius, the model expands available computing capacity without requiring significant additional capital investment. Partner-operated facilities will become part of the company's global AI cloud network, complementing capacity from Nebius-owned data centers and colocation sites.
"Our new asset-light model provides infrastructure partners with a flexible opportunity to participate in the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence," said Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius. "By combining their facilities and local expertise with Nebius's technology, software platform and customer demand, partners can access the growing AI cloud market while benefiting from stronger margins than traditional infrastructure leasing."
Nebius expects to structure future partnerships through a variety of commercial arrangements, including revenue-sharing agreements, licensing fees, commissions and committed-capacity contracts that provide the company with additional computing resources for its expanding customer base. The company confirmed it has already signed its first agreements under the new business model.
As part of each partnership, Nebius will train local operating teams and remain responsible for cloud software, platform performance and service quality, while partners manage the physical infrastructure and hardware. Customers will receive the same level of service regardless of whether workloads run on Nebius-owned facilities or partner-operated data centers.
The initiative reflects Nebius's broader strategy to scale AI infrastructure globally while maintaining capital efficiency as enterprises and AI developers continue increasing demand for high-performance computing services.
Headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker NBIS, Nebius develops end-to-end AI cloud infrastructure that supports every stage of artificial intelligence development, from data management and model training to production deployment. The company serves startups, enterprises and organizations building AI applications, autonomous agents and next-generation digital services worldwide.
The company noted that the announcement includes forward-looking statements regarding future partnerships, revenue growth, infrastructure expansion and financial performance, all of which remain subject to market conditions, financing availability, customer demand, competitive dynamics and other business risks.
