Megan Thee Stallion has officially ended her relationship with Klay Thompson.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE on Saturday, April 25, the Grammy-winning artist confirmed the breakup, which comes just months after the couple publicly revealed their romance.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Megan said. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me. When those values are compromised, there’s no path forward. I’m choosing to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Her statement followed a series of emotional posts on Instagram Stories earlier that day, where she appeared to accuse Thompson of infidelity. Without naming him directly, she expressed frustration over feeling misled and emotionally drained.

“Cheating… had me around your whole family playing house,” she wrote. She went on to describe supporting him through difficult moments during his basketball season, only to question his commitment. “Now you don’t know if you can be monogamous?” she added, concluding that she needed a real break moving forward.

Although Megan did not explicitly mention Thompson in those posts, the two had been publicly linked for months, frequently sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media. In recent weeks, she posted affectionate photos of the pair, including a mirror selfie featuring the Dallas Mavericks star.

Their relationship included several high-profile moments, such as a birthday celebration in February when Thompson gifted her a luxury Bentley, followed by a tropical getaway the couple documented online.

Earlier this year, Megan spoke openly about the relationship, describing it as unexpected but meaningful. “I didn’t even plan to be in a relationship,” she said at the time. “But I’ve been really comfortable — and that’s something new for me.”
