The New York Knicks aim to secure their second straight win as the Mike Brown era officially takes shape.

After opening the season with an impressive 119-111 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 22, the Knicks and their new head coach face another major test Friday night.

The Boston Celtics return to MSG for a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference semifinals — a series the Knicks won to advance to the conference finals for the first time in 25 years.

Boston, however, will be without its superstar Jayson Tatum, who suffered a torn Achilles in Game 4 of that playoff series. He’s expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 season.

Coming off a win against one of the East’s top contenders, the Knicks are determined to keep proving they belong in the championship conversation.
