Klay Thompson didn’t hold back after a former NBA player used a vulgar term to refer to his girlfriend, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, during a podcast this week.

Jason Williams was discussing Thompson’s struggles this season on the show “Hoopin’ N Hollerin’,” alongside Patrick Beverley and Rone. Williams suggested that the Dallas Mavericks forward’s relationship — which coincides with the worst statistical stretch of his career — might be affecting his performance. The couple went public during the offseason, and Megan has been seen at several Mavericks games.

To make his point, Williams used an explicit expression about the female body, claiming it was “very powerful” and implying it could be influencing Thompson. He added that it “wasn’t meant as an attack on Megan,” but questioned whether she was “good for his shot.”

A clip of the segment, which included a photo of Thompson and Megan together and the caption “What’s going on with Klay Thompson?”, was posted to the podcast’s Instagram page. Thompson responded in the comments.

“Referring to my girlfriend that way is disgusting and disturbing,” he wrote. “Especially coming from someone who played in the NBA. How would you feel if I spoke about your wives like that? Do better, guys. Very disappointing.”
