A newly surfaced video captures Justin Baldoni saying, “Sorry, I missed the sexual harassment training,” while filming It Ends With Us alongside Blake Lively and Jenny Slate.
The footage was submitted on Nov. 13 as part of Lively’s harassment and retaliation lawsuit.
Baldoni and Wayfarer are seeking to have the case dismissed.
Newly unsealed behind-the-scenes footage from the set of It Ends With Us shows Justin Baldoni joking, “Sorry, I missed the sexual harassment training.”
The clip, filed as an exhibit in a motion for summary judgment submitted by Wayfarer on Nov. 13, features the 41-year-old actor and director working with costars Blake Lively and Jenny Slate.
In one moment, Baldoni says the word “sexy” while looking toward Lively, then glances at the camera and quips, “Sorry, I missed the sexual harassment training,” rolling his eyes.
The recording is part of an ongoing legal dispute between Baldoni and Lively. The actress, 38, alleges sexual harassment and workplace retaliation in her lawsuit. Baldoni has denied all claims.
Lively’s amended complaint states that Wayfarer Studios “failed to provide Ms. Lively with even basic employment protections, including an employee handbook, sexual harassment policy, or any form of training regarding harassment, discrimination, or workplace expectations.”
In an Oct. 7 deposition in Los Angeles, Baldoni confirmed under oath that he completed anti-discrimination, anti-harassment and anti-retaliation training during production.
Lively’s legal team described another incident in their December 2024 filing, alleging that Baldoni commented on her “onesie” under her coat, noting it was unzipped enough to reveal a lace bra. According to the complaint, he told her, “I think you look sexy,” in a way that made her feel objectified. When she replied, “That’s not what I’m going for,” Baldoni allegedly responded, “I’m sorry, hot,” prompting Lively to again object. He then reportedly said sarcastically, “I guess I missed the HR meeting,” before walking away.
The complaint also claims that another woman on set later approached Lively to share empathy and her own similar experiences involving Baldoni.
Baldoni’s team disputed the allegations in the Nov. 13 filing, calling the exchange “unremarkable.” They argued that Lively was wearing an oversized fleece onesie, not revealing clothing, and that Baldoni’s demeanor was neutral rather than suggestive. They added that he apologized if his remark was inappropriate and that Lively responded, “All good.”
In his countersuit, Baldoni’s lawyers accused Lively of helping “set the tone” for personal conversations on set, including what language was acceptable. They claimed she used the word “sexy” freely but objected when Baldoni said it in her presence.
Lively is seeking more than $160 million in damages. Baldoni’s own $400 million countersuit was dismissed earlier this year. On Nov. 13, Baldoni and his co-defendants asked Judge Lewis J. Liman to rule in their favor without a trial. The judge has not yet issued a decision.
A trial is scheduled for March 2026.
