Judge Adam Levy Brings Courtroom Experience to Television With New Series 'Adam's Law'

Judge Adam Levy, son of television icon Judge Judy (Judith Sheindlin), is preparing to launch his own courtroom program, Adam's Law, as he looks to establish his own presence in a genre his mother dominated for more than two decades.

Judge Judy became one of television's most recognizable legal personalities after presiding over small-claims disputes for 25 seasons, setting a high standard for courtroom programming. Now, Levy faces the challenge of stepping into the spotlight with a show that seeks to deliver real legal disputes and practical justice.

A graduate of Hofstra Law School and former Putnam County District Attorney, Levy brings decades of legal experience to the bench. Throughout his judicial career, he has earned recognition for initiatives such as an award-winning Drug Treatment Program and has built a reputation for his knowledge of the law and direct courtroom style.

According to promotional material, Adam's Law will feature real cases involving everyday people seeking legal resolutions. Levy says the series aims to provide fair decisions while giving viewers an authentic look at courtroom proceedings.

Early previews, however, have prompted comparisons with Judge Judy's signature approach. Like his mother, Levy is portrayed as direct, quick-witted and firm when handling litigants. Levy has previously appeared on television as one of the judges on Tribunal Justice, giving him some experience in front of the cameras. Even so, leading his own series represents a significantly different challenge, particularly in a genre where standing out has become increasingly difficult.

Meanwhile, Judge Judy herself recently remained in the headlines after appealing the dismissal of her defamation lawsuit related to media coverage involving the Menendez brothers. She argues that false reports incorrectly suggested she supported granting the brothers a new trial.

Adam's Law is scheduled to premiere on September 14 across multiple CBS-owned television stations.
