A senior executive at JPMorgan Chase is facing serious allegations of workplace misconduct, according to a lawsuit filed in New York County Supreme Court on April 27.
The complaint accuses Lorna Hajdini, an executive director in the firm’s Leveraged Finance division, of sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discriminatory conduct toward a junior male colleague, identified in the filing as “John Doe.”
According to the lawsuit, the alleged behavior began in early 2024 after the two started working together. The complaint describes a pattern of inappropriate remarks, unwanted advances, and escalating pressure. It further claims that the executive used her position to intimidate the employee, including alleged threats that his career could be harmed if he did not comply with her demands.
The filing also alleges instances of racial harassment and coercion, as well as claims that the executive engaged in conduct intended to manipulate and control the situation. The plaintiff states that he felt compelled to comply at times out of fear of professional retaliation.
In May 2025, the employee submitted a formal complaint to the company outlining the alleged misconduct. However, a spokesperson for JPMorgan stated that an internal investigation found no evidence to support the claims.
The plaintiff’s attorney said his client has suffered significant personal and professional harm as a result of the alleged incidents, including difficulty continuing his career. The lawsuit seeks damages for emotional distress, lost income, and reputational impact, as well as potential changes to workplace practices.
Hajdini, who has been with JPMorgan for nearly 15 years, currently serves as an executive director and has experience across multiple sectors, including finance, retail, and healthcare.
The case remains ongoing, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
