In-N-Out Removes “67” from Order Tickets After Viral “6-7” Trend Takes Off

PEOPLE has confirmed that In-N-Out Burger has removed the number “67” from its order ticket system amid the viral “6-7” trend.

While the phrase “6-7” does not have a single, definitive meaning, it has become widely associated with the song “Doot Doot (6 7)” by Skrilla — which repeatedly features the lyric “6-7” — as well as with NBA star LaMelo Ball, whose height is 6-foot-7.

According to PEOPLE, the West Coast burger chain quietly eliminated the number from its system about a month ago. An employee at a Los Angeles-area In-N-Out location confirmed the change and added that the chain has also banned the number “69” from its ticketing system.

The decision has reportedly disappointed groups of teenagers who often gather in stores waiting excitedly for their order numbers to be called. PEOPLE reached out to In-N-Out’s corporate office for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

Discussion about the missing number first surfaced on Reddit, where one user wrote that while working a shift, they noticed the system consistently skipped from order number 66 directly to 68.

“While I was at work last night, I noticed that every time we reached number 66, the next order would jump straight to 68 — completely skipping 67. Now I’m curious if and why they removed it,” the user posted.

Other commenters were quick to connect the change to the viral “6-7” trend.

“Viral 6-7 — all the kids are yelling it these days. My In-N-Out skips it too after kids kept making a scene whenever the number was called,” one person explained.

Another commenter said they hadn’t thought much of the number being removed, prompting a response that read, “You’re presumably over the age of 15.”
