Houston television personality Lauren Kelly brought a memorable piece of her hometown history to The Tonight Showthis week, leaving host Jimmy Fallon genuinely surprised during an interview at New York City's Rockefeller Center.

Kelly, a correspondent for KPRC 2's Houston Life, traveled to New York to speak with Fallon about the launch of the show's new season. Along the way, the conversation took an unexpected turn when she revealed that she attended middle school alongside global music superstar Beyoncé Knowles.

To prove it, Kelly brought her 1995 school yearbook, featuring photos of both Beyoncé and fellow Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland. Fallon reacted with amazement after learning the two future stars had been Kelly's classmates.

Kelly recalled that even as students, Beyoncé and Rowland already stood out for their exceptional talent. She described them as incredibly gifted, kind and down-to-earth, saying it was clear they were destined for success.

Curious to see more, Fallon asked to look at Kelly's own yearbook photo. Laughing, she joked that the picture dated back to a time before modern hair products became part of her routine. Fallon responded warmly, complimenting the nostalgic photo.

The conversation also highlighted Houston itself. Fallon reminisced about his visit to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he tried cattle roping and sampled Texas barbecue for the first time.

He described the event as much larger and more exciting than he had imagined, praising both the city's hospitality and its renowned barbecue, which he called some of the best he has ever tasted.

Before wrapping up the interview, Kelly asked what fans can expect from Season 14 of The Tonight Show. Fallon teased that viewers should prepare for an even bigger season filled with exciting moments, although he admitted he isn't directly responsible for booking guests.

Still, one thing seemed to stay on his mind long after the interview ended: Kelly's vintage yearbook. Fallon joked that flipping through old school yearbooks would make a fun recurring segment on the show, saying he loved the nostalgic glimpse into the past.
