Google’s Doodle, one of the most valuable spaces on its homepage, was used on Tuesday to highlight "AI Mode," its latest AI-powered search product.

Clicking on the animated Doodle directs users to "AI Mode," which provides AI-generated responses to complex queries. Powered by Google’s Gemini model, the tool allows searches via text, voice, or images and is gradually rolling out to more U.S. users.

The promotion comes as Google strengthens its position in the AI market, competing with rivals like OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), and Perplexity AI. In May, the company tested placing "AI Mode" directly below the search bar, replacing the "I’m Feeling Lucky" button.
