ESPN will once again deploy its signature MegaCast presentation for the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T, featuring No. 10 Miami vs. No. 1 Indiana on Monday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The broadcast caps another record-setting season with a production that blends cutting-edge technology, expansive coverage and innovative viewing options.

The main telecast on ESPN anchors the MegaCast, with 14 distinct presentations of the championship game available across ESPN platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ACC Network, ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Unlimited. All feeds will be available via the ESPN App through ESPN DTC or Pay TV authentication, reaching viewers in nearly 150 countries.

Innovation at the Forefront

Hard Rock Stadium will serve as the epicenter of ESPN’s championship innovation, with approximately 100 cameras and more than 100 microphones capturing every angle and sound of college football’s biggest night.

Advanced technology includes:

• Eight end zone pylon cameras, embedded in each pylon

• Line-to-gain pylons, wirelessly marking first-down distances

• Referee hat cameras, providing on-field perspectives

• Goalpost and robotic goal-line cameras, delivering precise end-zone views

• Shallow depth-of-field wireless Ronin cameras, used for on-field celebrations

The broadcast also marks the return of JockeyCam, an AI-stabilized wearable POV camera mounted on the umpire’s cap, delivering decisive angles on close plays as part of AT&T’s “Connected Cam” sponsorship.

Dedicated cameras will follow Miami head coach Mario Cristobal and Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti throughout the game, while additional placements capture team entrances and pregame moments. Aerial footage of Miami and Hard Rock Stadium will be provided by the Goodyear Blimp.

Broadcast Team

Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call their 12th consecutive CFP National Championship together, concluding their 30th season as a broadcast duo. Sideline reporting will be handled by Holly Rowe (Indiana) and Molly McGrath(Miami) for the fifth straight year. Bill Lemonnier, ESPN’s rules analyst and former Big Ten referee, will also contribute to coverage.

• Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show (ESPN2): Pat McAfee roams the sidelines alongside AJ Hawk, Darius Butler, Connor Campbell, Ty Schmit and Tone Digs, offering an entertaining, unscripted perspective.

ESPN Deportes will deliver the Spanish-language call, led by Eduardo Varela, Pablo Viruega, Sebastian M. Christensen and Carlos Nava.

Halftime, AR and Fan Experiences

Halftime performances by the Frost Band of the Hour and the Indiana University Marching Hundred will stream live on ESPN+ via the All-22 view. ESPN will also debut an augmented reality presentation for Mercedes-Benz, showcasing a G-Wagon climbing a mountain using Viz Engine 5 graphics.

WWE Collaboration

ESPN has partnered with WWE to create a custom CFP National Championship Title Belt, inspired by Miami and Hard Rock Stadium. The belt features 136 diamonds representing every FBS program and will be displayed at Playoff Fan Central at the Miami Beach Convention Center from Jan. 16–18. One fan will win the belt through an official ESPN sweepstakes, while others can participate in interactive photo and entrance experiences.
