Actress Candace Cameron Bure recently shared a surprising story about a Hollywood event she says she unknowingly attended years ago with her husband, Val Bure.

During a recent episode of her podcast, the Full House star, 49, recalled accidentally walking into what she later realized was an underground party that made both of them immediately uncomfortable.

“I’ve had some really strange and awkward moments,” Bure said, explaining that she sometimes attended events because she trusted the people who invited her.

That decision, she said, once led the couple to an unexpected gathering that turned out to be far different from what they anticipated.

“When we walked in, my eyes were wide open because I was seeing things I had never seen before,” she recalled. “I looked at Val and thought, ‘How did we end up here? What is going on?’”

According to Bure, the couple quickly realized they were in the wrong place and decided to leave almost immediately.

“We made a quick U-turn and walked right back out,” she said. “It was just very uncomfortable, and we had no idea what we were walking into.”

Bure has long been open about how her personal faith and values have influenced many of her career choices in Hollywood. In past interviews, she explained that she often turned down scripts during her early acting years if they conflicted with her personal beliefs.

“I was never the kind of person who wanted to take risks with my body or sexuality to get ahead,” she previously said on the Stay True podcast. “My values and character have always mattered more to me than success.”

Bure added that those convictions made it easier for her to decline roles that crossed her personal boundaries.

Looking back, she says staying grounded in her beliefs — along with support from her family — has helped her navigate both her career and public life.

“The world will always have opinions,” Bure said. “But I know who I am, and I stay rooted in the people and the values that matter most to me.”
