Brother of Late TV Star Caroline Flack Dies at 55

Paul Flack, the older brother of late British television presenter Caroline Flack, has died at the age of 55, six years after the beloved TV personality's passing.

According to authorities, emergency services responded to a residence on Sandringham Road in Norwich on June 21 after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man in his 50s. Paul Flack was transported to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that evening.

An inquest into his death has been formally opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court, with a full hearing scheduled for October.

In a statement, Norfolk Police said officers were called to assist ambulance crews following concerns for Mr. Flack's safety.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained; however, there are no indications of suspicious circumstances at this time," police said.

Paul Flack worked as a graphic designer and was the older brother of Caroline Flack, the popular television presenter best known for hosting Love Island and The X Factor. Caroline died in February 2020 at the age of 40.

Her death prompted widespread conversations across the United Kingdom about mental health, online harassment and the pressures faced by public figures.

Although both Caroline and Paul were born in London, they spent much of their childhood growing up in Norfolk, where the family remained closely connected to the local community.

Following news of Paul's passing, the organizers of Flackstock—the annual festival created in Caroline Flack's memory to promote mental health awareness—shared an emotional tribute.

"We are beyond heartbroken," the organization wrote in a statement on Instagram. "We loved Paul deeply, and this news has devastated everyone who knew him. He was funny, kind and incredibly caring. His warm hugs and infectious laugh will always be remembered, and he will be greatly missed."

As the investigation continues, family, friends and supporters are mourning another profound loss for the Flack family while remembering Paul for his warmth, kindness and the positive impact he had on those around him.
