Bolton and Other Former Officials Investigated: Trump Delivers on His Promise to End Government Weaponization

President Donald J. Trump’s administration continues to prove its commitment to dismantling the weaponization of government against the American people. The recent FBI action involving former National Security Adviser John Bolton marks another decisive step in exposing those who, in the past, used the federal government as a political weapon.
Kash Patel, now serving as FBI Director, highlighted in his 2023 book Government Gangsters the existence of a network of individuals who politicized government institutions to attack opponents and manipulate investigations. While critics dismissed his warnings at the time, today’s developments confirm their legitimacy.
In just seven months, five names referenced in Patel’s book — James Comey, John Brennan, Miles Taylor, Alexander Vindman, and now Bolton — have faced investigations aimed at uncovering past misconduct that jeopardized the credibility and transparency of federal institutions.
These actions are not acts of political retaliation, but rather the fair and equal application of the law. They send a powerful message that no one is above the law — regardless of past titles, political influence, or prior government service. Patel himself reaffirmed this on social media: “No individual can weaponize government and walk away without accountability.”
For years, members of the so-called “deep state” manipulated intelligence, fabricated narratives, and tried to undermine President Trump through false dossiers, baseless probes, and coordinated attacks. Today, under a new and more disciplined approach, the Trump administration is ensuring that such abuses are brought into the light and that accountability is restored.
When asked about Bolton, President Trump emphasized that the truth will prevail: “We are putting facts and transparency first. If there was abuse of power, it will be exposed. Our government works for the American people — not for personal or political interests.”
Unlike previous chaotic attempts to uncover misconduct, the current process is structured, thorough, and results-driven. The message is clear: the era of impunity and political manipulation is over.
