A popular convenience store chain known for its restaurant-quality food, fuel services, and loyal fanbase is set to expand into Indiana.

(No — not that one.)

Sheetz has announced plans to build 100 stores across the state over the next decade, marking a major investment in the region.

The expansion is expected to bring roughly $1 billion in economic investment and create more than 3,000 long-term jobs.

The 24/7 chain is known for its made-to-order food, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, along with fuel stations, grocery and convenience items, free Wi-Fi, and highly rated clean restrooms.

Like other well-known brands with strong followings, Sheetz often draws large crowds for its grand openings in new markets.

The first Indiana locations are expected to open in the Indianapolis area in 2027, though specific sites and timelines have not yet been announced.

This move is part of the family-owned company’s broader Midwest expansion strategy. To support that growth, Sheetz plans to open a new food preparation and distribution center in Findlay, Ohio, in 2026.

“We’ve heard strong interest from Indiana residents who want Sheetz in their communities,” said Travis Sheetz, the company’s president and CEO, in a statement released April 8. “That demand has only grown as we’ve expanded into new Midwest markets.”

Sheetz currently operates more than 830 locations across several states, including Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.

To mark its entry into Indiana, the company also announced a $25,000 donation to Special Olympics Indiana.
