At the age of 21, Millie Bobby Brown has embraced motherhood. The "Stranger Things" star and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23, announced on Instagram that they have adopted a baby girl.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” Brown shared in her post, which she concluded with, “And then there were 3.”

Brown, who married Bongiovi—the son of singer Jon Bon Jovi—in a private ceremony in May 2024, had previously expressed her desire to become a mother. During a March 2025 appearance on the SmartLess podcast, she revealed that starting a family had long been a personal goal.

"I'm still really young, but my mom actually had her first child at 21... it's been my thing since before I met Jake," she said. She also spoke openly about her positive view of adoption, stating, "I don't see having your own child as really any different than adopting... our energy in the house is like, 'The door is always open.'"

The couple's decision places them outside the typical demographic for adoptive parents. According to the National Council for Adoption, the average age of parents pursuing infant adoption is 35, with the vast majority being married and possessing high levels of education and income. Brown and Bongiovi's journey marks a notable and joyful exception to this trend.
