Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have ended their marriage after nearly two decades together, as first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by People magazine.

According to sources cited by TMZ, the couple have been living apart since early summer. Kidman currently has custody of their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14, and is reportedly "holding the family together" in their Nashville home. Urban has moved into a separate property.

A source close to Kidman told People that the actress "didn't want this" and had "been fighting to save the marriage." The insider added that her sister, Antonia, and the entire Kidman family have been a strong support system for her.

The news marks a poignant end to a relationship both often described as destiny. In a 2019 interview with People, Kidman recalled a moment early in their courtship—when Urban showed up at her apartment at 5 a.m. with gardenias for her birthday—that made her realize he was "the love of my life." They married in June 2006.

The couple had frequently appeared supportive of each other's careers, with Kidman often accompanying Urban to major country music awards shows. As recently as June 2025, Kidman shared a loving tribute to Urban for their anniversary on Instagram. In a 2024 interview, she told People, "I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love."

Urban expressed similar devotion in a 2020 podcast appearance, calling Kidman "the one that I was searching for my whole life."

To date, neither Kidman nor Urban has made an official public statement regarding the separation.
